During the visit of the Brazilian government delegation to Goa, India, the two countries signed cooperation agreements in the fields of pharmaceutical regulation and agricultural research.
In the pharmaceutical field, the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) and the Central Organization of India Quality of Medicines Control Directorate General of Health Services (CDSCO / DGHS) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in product regulation.
In agriculture, the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) has signed two agreements with the Indian government. The first, for cooperation in the bovine genome and assisted reproductive technologies, in partnership with the Department of Animal Reproduction, Dairy and Fisheries India. The second, a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the area of genetic resources, agriculture, animal husbandry, natural resources and fisheries, signed with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
On Monday (17), after a bilateral meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, President Michel Temer said in a press statement that it was decided that Brazil will send missions to India with the objective of expanding relations between the two countries in the pharmaceutical industry and agricultural fields and in the defense area.
